And so IT begins

And by IT, I mean summer!! Oh yes, long summer days. Warm sunshine, no schedule to keep, nowhere to be if we don’t wanna be there, fresh fruit and veggies… I truly love summer time. But mostly I think I love it because of the pool or beach, or lake or really anywhere there is water, like in my own driveway with my kids and a cooler full of water!

I guess I feel like summer has begun because we made our first trip to the pool yesterday! Oh what fun! My kids both love the water (no surprise there), and we had such a good time for the hour and a half we were there. Now, I know that doesn’t sound like a long time, and it’s not… but right now – until school is out – the pool doesn’t open until 3 and the close at 6. So we got there about 3:30 and left about 5. It was so fun to see the kids there. Since they are both a year older I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. You see they have this “small slide” (that’s what Luke calls it) there. Avery is certainly old enough to use it this year and since Luke loves it so much, I knew we would be in the “deeper” section of the pool. I wasn’t sure how it was gonna work, but Avery was happy to walk with her big brother to the top of the slide, and slide down right to me! She did it several times, before she got to the top and decided she didn’t thing she wanted to slide just yet… needless to say this caused a back up on the slides and the older kids were non to happy about it. But we worked it out and she’ll learn as we go.

All around it was a great time, and I’m looking forward to many, many more fun times with my babies this summer.

So bring on the long, warm summer days and thank goodness for Bur Mil Park!

My heart aches to be closer to you. I am petioning our Heavenly Father for a complete & total healing of my back pain. That would allow me to hop in the car & come see you more often...or meet y'all somewhere in the middle, like Pigeon Forge. The time we did that in 2005, when Luke was a baby was SO SO SO much fun.

Love you and miss y'all!

We miss you tons too!! As the kids get older, I think they and I will be able to travel a bit easier and therefor we'll be able to see you more often! You know you can come and stay as long as you would like any time!

Love and miss you too!
