The Big 3

As you can see from the 3 above, I'm participating in a blog tag challenge thing called the Big 3 Challenge. Basically, it's a way for bloggers to link from one blog to another with each of us blogging with a similar theme. My dear cousin and  friend over at Crocuses in March tagged me. She was tagged by someone else and so when you get to the bottom you will see that I have tagged some others as well. The idea is for you to read mine, then click on Jessi's blog and read her's and from there you can read the other bloggers whom she tagged. You might find some really wonderful new blogs that you'll want to be sure to check out on a regular basis!

Here are my Big 3 (and let me just say, picking only 3 was very hard)...

1. I went deep sea fishing. Once. Yes, just once, and I got really sea sick. This was especially bad since I wasn't out on a cool boat on the lovely ocean to be deep sea fishing for fun - nope I was supposed to be working! At the time I was working for a small video production company and we were working on producing a fishing show. The fisherman knew someone, who knew someone,  who know the head coach of the Carolina Panthers (yes, the NFL team the Carolina Panthers). Turns out he likes to deep sea fish. So it was all set up and off we went. Except that looking through that teeny tiny view finder and rolling around on the ocean caused me to yack my guts up! Embarrassing and not all that great for business either!

Looks so lovely, doesn't it?

2. Everybody Loves Raymond. You know the show? With Ray Romano and that really tall guy - Brad Garrett (who played Ray's brother), and Patricia Heaton (she played his wife). Now you remember? Ok, well I played craps next to Mr. Romano in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. I didn't even recognize him when he walked up and started playing. The dealer pointed him out. Since he didn't seem to be in the mood to chit-chat, I didn't say anything to him (like, OH MY GOODNESS! Your Ray Romano!!! HOLY COW!!). But hey, I was near someone famous - I know, I'm cool and your jealous!

Yep, he likes to play craps.

3. My wonderful husband (and if you know him, you know that wonderful isn't really a good enough word) doesn't really cook. He can make a killer grilled cheese and if your in the mood for mac and cheese, he can microwave some of that right up for you as well. He does however have a complete mastery of the grill, so if you want something done on the grill -  he's your man. But as far as regular "dinner" goes, he doesn't do too much of that. But there was this one time - one sweet, happy Valentines Day, back in 1999 when he cooked me dinner. Yes, a dinner cooked totally by him for me. He made it all - all on his own. Now, I'm not sure how many calls his mom got that evening, but really it was a great dinner and he was so sweet to cook for me for Valentine's Day that year. That was also the day that I boldly declared my love for him. Let's just say it had been a while coming! That was the beginning of what is now a 12 year marriage. We got engaged the following year in March and were married in September of 2000. Thank you David for taking the time to show me how much you cared - that night and every day since then! I love you!
See? Wonderful!!!

Now to tag 3 other bloggers. I've been in and out of the serious blog community and apparently so have some of my fellow bloggers. Let's see if tagging a few of them can kick start their blogs again!

First head over and check out Melissa at Melissa's Southern Style Kitchen. Melissa is not only a beautiful lady, and friend (thanks to our sons being in the same kindergarten class), but she's an amazing baker and cook! Her blog is LOADED with yummy things for you to make and feed your family! And if your lacking for ideas for dinner tonight, do not fear, she'll totally fill your brain with good ideas - and a desire to fill your tummy with her good food!

Second, since I mentioned my hubby, you can check him out at his blog here. David is one of those that hasn't blogged in a while, so maybe he'll be inspired! David is one of the smartest, funniest, sweetest people I've ever known! He's truly a blessing to me and our family! I thank God for him every day! Thanks for participating David!

And last is my dearest friend and confidant Leslie at A Goat's Tale. It's been a LONG TIME since she's blogged! Again, maybe this will be good inspiration for her to get back to it. Not that Leslie doesn't have a million other things to do, but when she blogs she shares wonderful stories of her "never a dull moment" life as well as her deep rooted faith in Christ. I love this girl like she is my own sister. And even Luke was shocked to hear the other day that Leslie's son wasn't actually a family member, but rather just a close friend. But they might as well be family!

Hope you've enjoyed! Come back again soon, as I'll be posting pictures (probably more than you'll really care to see) of the baby shower I co-hosted on Saturday!
