10 Years

It's totally amazing to me that I'm old enough to have been married for 10 years. And the truth of the matter is that I'm actually kinda old to only have been married for 10 years. Either way, I have been married 10 years...

September 23rd marked a mile stone for David and I! What a wonderful day my wedding day was! From the flowers, to the music - and those who sang, to the bridal party, to the reception and all the amazing friends and family who were there to celebrate with us - it was a perfect day!

This year to celebrate out 10 years together we were able to plan a trip - a BIG trip! Thanks to the willingness of Nanny and Grandpoppy and Meme and Papa - we were able to leave on Friday the 24th and head out to LA. Neither David nor I had ever spent any time in LA so we left 2 days early and spent some time in Southern California!

We were able to get a good deal on a hotel in Beverly Hills - which was an "older" hotel that's been upgraded, but still very quaint - it was different than anywhere else we've stayed before, but it was comfortable and in a great location. We were about 2 blocks from Rodeo Drive. We spent some time driving around the touristy areas and then on the advice of some friends and family we hit the PCH or the Pacific Coast Highway. It was a beautiful ride! The pictures in this post will all be from just our time in LA BEFORE we left on our cruise to the Mexican Rivera. There are like 600+ pictures, so I'll spare you every picture and every detail...

but in short...

this was a really, really great trip and it was really, really great for David and I to get away for a while and really focus on just us.

I did have several ideas for blog posts while we were away, so I'll be trying to incorporate those in amongst the pictures and posts of our trip!

One last word before pictures...

If you are thinking of, or have ever thought of, or have even already been and want to go again, on a cruise - DO IT! It's truly a great way to vacation!

We rented a convertible in LA - a really pretty blue Mustang... and then we didn't take one single picture of it! But here we are IN it!

We had 2 favorite stops along the PCH - first Huntington Beach

And Laguna Beach...
We ate lunch at this really great place with an amazing view!

I'll save the rest of the Hollywood tourist pictures for another post. For now, enjoy the view!
