The hardest part of having kids for me is when they are sick – they are so small and especially when they are little – there’s only so much you can do for them. Plus they cannot tell you what hurts and what doesn’t. It’s so hard for me! I know they get over it, and in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t take that long, but it’s still sad when they don’t feel well!

Avery has been sick since Friday and not sleeping very much at all. But last night – she sleep ALL NIGHT LONG again! It’s amazing what a full nights sleep will do for both baby and mommy! She seems to be doing a lot better today, and the runny nose has almost completely dried up! I’d been giving her Benadrly, but on Sunday it hit me that I could use some of my essential oils and maybe that would help her some. So I added a few drops of peppermint to her bath, then her bib and her nose opened up enough for her to take a whole bottle! I am becoming more and more sold on the whole essential oils thing. Thanks to Deb Raner – a wonderful friend at church – who turned me on to the benefits of oils. You can check out the site I get my stuff from. http://www.birchhillhappenings.com/aroma1.htm The site has all kinds of helpful info on all sorts of different things from colds to health and beauty tips. I really love this stuff.

Today we’ll be taking advantage of the beautiful weather and going over to Cameron’s house to play with him and Riley. Two of Luke’s best friends –I’m glad everyone got some sleep last night!

Hey Girl,

I love your new blogging idea. Plus I love the name. I am glad Avery is feeling better. Go have some fun today. Savannah & I would love to get together with you and the kids this summer and have a play date. She is out of school and would love a playmate.

Sorry we missed you guys for dinner the other nite. We'll catch up soon!

Cameron really loved having Luke over. Julianna was so sad that she slept through most of her vist with Avery. Oh well...there are many years ahead to forge friendships.

I remember how helpless it feels to have a sick child. You are a wonderful mother and I can see how much you care for your children, so I know it is hard. I am glad she is feeling better! Love,
